Tropical Trumps Comfort Food

The weather outside is, well, January.  The forecast here in the City of Roses calls for snow, freezing rain and an accumulation of a quarter inch of ice.  I was just starting to feel really sorry for myself when my friend Colleen from Missoula, Montana emailed that her forecast calls for snow, wind gusts of 40 mph and a balmy 7 degrees below zero.

What's to like about January in the colder climes?  Escape, that's what.  And this year, it's going to take more than a trip south.  Even our southern states aren't offering weather for weenies .

My suggestion -- as usual -- find comfort in the culinary side of things. And I'm not talking about a bowl of hot stew. That just reminds me that there are more than two months left of winter. We need something cheery and tropical to pull out of our doldrums.

And after all the hibernation feasting that takes place in November and December, isn't it time to lighten up a bit?  Yes. Here is just the recipe to help you do that:
Tropical Fish with Reduced Fresh Juices.

This light and delicious dish--  may not inspire you to you stick a paper umbrella in your drink, but it should raise your spirits and slim your waist.  Take one bite and you just might be transported to a tropical paradise where you can forget about all those grey skies and cold wind!
